Who Doesn't Need A Little Sunshine In Their Life?

Sunshine! This scent is pure, glorious, unadulterated sunshine! Notes of bright pink grapefruit & clementine come together with ripe strawberry, honeydew, & kiwi - rounded out with sweet, juicy peach.

This magnificently bright scent quickly became my favorite go-to "happy" fragrance when I first blended it as a custom request for a friend. When I need a mood boost, this is THE juice to do just the trick. I can't help but smile when I take a whiff of this one, it always elevates my mood. It is uplifting, invigorating, & smells good enough to eat - but please don't. ;-)

Some citrus essential oils can cause photo-sensitivity... so do be careful where you dab this one if you'll be out in the sun when wearing it. ;-)

Absinthe Sucre...

La Fée Verte... We all know her tawdry history. Her popularity among all classes of imbibers, from the bourgeois to the bohemian set to the poorest of the working class. Her rise, her fall... her branding as a "ferocious beast", a "slayer of men"... and now, her rise again.

Well, let me tell you, my Absinthe Sucre is The Green Fairy on a sugar binge! Spicy-sweet fennel, anise, & wormwood are wrapped up in a velvet cocoon of cream, caramelized sugar, & rich vanilla... underscored by a warm woody base swirling with whispers of sweet dried tobacco leaf. If you close your eyes & linger long enough, you may just catch the tiniest drop of white musk lurking in the background, warmed in the embrace of an elegant amber.

Sweet, buttery, unique... it just may have someone wanting to take a bite out of you! It has just the right amount of that licorice bite without coming across as a "licorice candy" scent, but if sweet, heavy, gourmand (foody) scents aren't your thing then this one likely is not for you. ;-)

Île Bourbon...

Île Bourbon – The Indian Ocean islands where the world’s finest vanilla hails from – Madagascar, the Comoros, and Réunion - were once known as the Île Bourbon.

As far as I’m concerned, rich, decadent bourbon vanilla and intensely sweet ylang ylang were meant to be paired - and that’s just what I’ve done in this blend fit for a queen.

Ylang ylang is known the world over as an aphrodisiac and is said to relieve tension & impart joy. Underscore it with the heady, sweet balsamic fragrance of bourbon vanilla & you have an exotic, sensual, & downright gorgeous blend. This isn't a "girly" vanilla - this is the deep, rich, TRUE scent of natural vanilla - the finest in the world. It wears close to the body, & if you’re anything like me you’ll find yourself sniffing your wrists incessantly when wearing it.

Very feminine & sweet - ideal for those who adore sweet scents without the “foody” element. Elegant in its simplicity, this one is a personal favorite that I wear often.

Created from pure essential oils of ylang ylang & Madagascar vanilla, blended in a base of skin-loving fractionated coconut oil. This blend just gets more beautiful the longer it ages.

Selkie...

The latest addition to the perfume oil line-up....

Selkie... those mythical creatures of Irish, Scots, and British lore. Seals that slip their skin and walk upon the land in human form.

What is the scent of a Selkie? Well, to me, it must be one of myth and mist, sea and sand, earth and sky - So I've brought together a beautiful bouquet of violet, lotus, rose, & waterlily... grounded it with a base of soft white musk, and finished it off with the dreamy, watery scent of waves lapping at a rocky shore. A bit on the sweet side, mysterious, ethereal, & whisper light.

Blended in a base of fractionated coconut oil and presented to you in a 7.5ml amber glass vial, it will arrive suitably packaged for gifting in a gorgeous floral embossed gift box tied with ribbon. Perfect for gifting someone else or simply for treating yourself to something fun and unique.

For Your Consideration...

As promised, the return of the perfume oils! To kick it off, I'm introducing a brand new scent - Fómhar… “autumn”. An ode to my Irish roots.

Ohhhhhh…… Autumn. My favorite time of year. There is a crispness to the air, a different quality to the sunlight. And for whatever reason, it brings with it memories that are attached to certain scents. Autumn, for me, is precious woods & a whisper of dry leaves, carrying with them bitter chocolate, caramel, a hint of rich vanilla, along with the faintest whisper of sweet pipe tobacco.

This is my new personal scent – when I wear it I cannot stop smelling my wrists. It goes on with a dry, woody scent, underscored by bitter chocolate. It quickly dries down into a gorgeous mélange of vanilla & caramel which adds some sweetness & depth to the chocolate, all layered over the rich scent of dried tobacco leaf, the faintest hint of dry, earthy autumn leaves swirling through the background.

As far as I’m concerned, this is perfectly unisex & would smell just as divine on men as it does on women.

Precious myrrh, amyris (also known as Haitian sandalwood), cocao, vanilla, a breath of patchouli & a whisper of caramel, blended in a base of skin-loving fractionated coconut & jojoba oils. Presented to you in a 7.5ml amber glass vial.

Surprise surprise! Yeah yeah yeah... I know. I'm a little late to the game here for fall as it's already in full swing.

I'm baaaaaaaaack.....

Well, after taking a year-long hiatus from my jewelry to pursue some other endeavors, I've reopened my jewelry shop. It sure feels great to be back at my work bench with my tools in my hands. I actually reopened the shop shortly after the first of the year, but have been very lackadaisical about updating the blog.... so here I am. Finally. Yes, I am the Queen of Procrastination.

I have several new designs, one of which I introduced yesterday at a few different venues & promptly sold out. I actually wore one of them yesterday when I went to pick my daughter up from preschool, and her teacher bought it right off my neck. Pretty flattering.

For those of you who are interested, I'm still working on the details of getting the bath & body line back up & running. I have so much on my plate right now that I had to take a step back & re-evaluate the things on that plate & decide what needed to go to the back burner for the time being. I know many of you have repeatedly asked when the shop will reopen, & I appreciate your interest & your patronage so very much. I'll keep you posted.

And now... time to hit my workbench. I have several orders to pack & ship this morning, and some custom requests to work on.

Candles, soaps, and other fun stuff... oh my!

Well, it's official. I've finally taken the plunge and gotten myself into the candle and soap making business. I'm thrilled that a dear friend of mine is diving off into the venture with me and I think a lot of fun is in store with this little partnership.

We're developing a line of heavily scented soy candles with a decadent vibe to them. We're sticking with the whole "Midnight Gypsy" baroque, ornate, eclectic theme in not only packaging but fragrance blends as well. We've got a lot of fun things up our sleeve with this one!

Introducing our new candle and spa line -

Midnight Gypsy Luxe... Bewitching Brews To Soothe Body & Soul.
Here are a few teasers....

Emerald Isle: This scent is a fresh green clover blend that makes us think of, well, the Emerald Isle herself - Ireland.

One Day My Knight Will Come: This one is deep musk with light floral notes and a touch of sandalwood and patchouli.

My Highland Home: Mist-shrouded Scottish hillsides dotted with heather. One of my personal favorites.

Boudoir: Creamy vanilla and warm amber mingle with the soft wood notes of cedarwood, oak, sandalwood, and patchouli in this unbelievably rich, decadent, sensual scent. I've never been a big fan of vanilla scents, but I'm in LOVE with this one...so much so that we've adopted it as our "signature" scent.

Gypsy Rose: Now this one, ahhhh, this one smells just exactly like a bouquet of fresh roses cut right out of the garden. Not heavy, not sharp, not cloying. Just pure, soft, dewy roses with the faintest hint of greenery.


In addition to the candles, we're working on a line of luxury hand-poured soaps as well. We'll include olive oil, shea butter, and goat milk soaps that are all hand-blended and incorporate fresh blossoms and herbs right in the recipe, all wrapped up in gorgeous packaging fit for a queen!

We'll also be working up rich, decadent lotions, bath bombs, bath salts, milk bath mixes, lip balms, and all sorts of other goodies.

Be sure to keep checking back in here at the blog for updates. With the busy holiday season upon us, I am swamped with jewelry orders so it will likely be around the first of the year before we are actually ready to think about a launch of anything. I'm hoping we'll be able to have some of our lines ready for a launch in time for Valentine's Day.
